What is this new rule of June 2026?

Till now, the Government of India was implementing ALMM List-1 only for solar modules. But from June 1, 2026, ALMM List-II is becoming mandatory.

As the matter is becoming serious for old solar installers, according to this rule, not only the solar you have installed must be Made in India, but the cells used in the solar must also be Made in India.

These government-mandated panels are called DCR panels. Most people install solar panels to take advantage of government subsidies or schemes and to get more benefits. If your panel is not registered under DCR, it will not be considered valid.

A 16-digit Digital DCR Certificate is now mandatory when applying for subsidy in 2026. If your panel does not have this certificate, your file will be rejected.
